I am a Canadian-Taiwanese cellist based in NYC and studying under Eliot Bailen. In addition to being a cellist, I also enjoy composing and playing the piano. Outside of music, I am a fourth-year physics student in Columbia College, and currently do research with the Columbia Heavy-ion nuclear physics group. In my free time, you can find me cooking, baking, doing yoga, or riding my bike and motorcycle. At Columbia, I am a cellist in the Columbia University Orchestra, and I regularly organize recitals with friends. In 2016, I was awarded first prize with distinction in the Taiwan National Music Competition, and in 2017, I received the Diploma of the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) in cello performance. As a soloist and chamber musician, I have been invited to perform at world-renowned stages across Taiwan and the United States.
