The film derives its title from the famous Roman church Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza, which was built in Rome in the 17th century by architect Francesco Borromini. The film tells the story of Alexandre, a renowned architect who travels to Italy along with his wife Alienor, with the objective of writing a book on Borromini. Without knowing it, they embark on a life-changing journey made of encounters, art, questions and answers.
